| This action replaces the step of reading the Book.
Summary of changes: * Reading the Book of the Dead breaks illiterate conduct. This is because it is no longer necessary for winning the game. * #invoke works even though you are blind, hallucinating, and/or so on. This is ideal for those attempting Zen conduct. The deadbook() and mkinvokearea() messages have been appropriately modified for blind or stoned heroes. * If blind, changes to the squares around the vibrating square are not shown. * If not on the vibrating square when #invoking, "nothing happens", as with other invoked artifacts. * If on the vibrating square, the usual effects, including raising the dead if the Invocation fails. | |
