|Name||Damage messages v1.0|
|Description||Adds messages that tell how badly wounded a monster is|
|You know how in Linley's Dungeon Crawl you get damage messages such as "The giant newt is almost dead" when you hit monsters? Well, this patch gives one of the character classes that functionality.
* Only for Healers!
* You get the message whenever you hit a monster with a weapon, projectile, attack spell or ray.
* Hallucination obfuscation!
* Can also check monsters for wounds using the ';' key.

|Nice, and other classes too. PM_NECROMANCER for instance.[Quote]|

|Is a cool idea to make it class-specific, differentiation is good![Quote]|

|Oh yeah, this patch is great! Been using it for a while now. (I wonder why L hasn't put all his patches on NHPatchDB?)
For my own build, I commented out the Healer requirement so that it is available to all roles, however outside the strategy of the game that it may be (it devalues stethoscopes and wands of probing for instance).
I've noticed that it doesn't account for all attacks that you might attempt on a monster, but if that really bothered me, L has made it easy to add a 'wounds_message' to any spots where it might be appropriate.
Much appreciated, this patch. All Crawlisms are welcome in my book. Thanks, L![Quote]
