| This patch is actually against 3.6.2!
A short patch that aims to make wands of make invisible less useless by giving them new functionality: zapping the wand at a closed door will turn it "invisible", i.e. a secret door. As secret doors cannot be bypassed by giants or amorphous monsters, in some ways this is superior to the wizard look, but the wand will not work on open doors or doorways. Of course, this does not work on the Astral Plane. Also, affected shop doors will reappear after a few turns. A known limitation: secret doors can only imitate straight walls, so after digging out a room corner, creating a door there, and turning it secret, the corner will look like a straight wall. This will not be noticeable with the default symset, though. | |
